Alfonse A. De Meo

Mr. De Meo, was a founding partner in CSDG, practices in a vast array of different legal arenas. An experienced trial attorney, Mr. De Meo has tried cases in every division of the New Jersey Superior Court. He has argued matters in the Appellate Division and represented clients in the Federal Court. A former municipal public defender, Mr. De Meo has represented clients in thousands of municipal court matters throughout the State of New Jersey.

Mr. De Meo has a varied practice, including family court matters, criminal and municipal defense, and contract matters. Mr. De Meo also represents individuals and businesses in civil matters.

Academic and Employment History

Mr. De Meo attended Seton Hall University School of Law and graduated with a Juris Doctorate in 1994. After graduation, Mr. De Meo was a law clerk for the Honorable Paul M. DePascale, J.S.C. in the New Jersey Superior Court in Hudson County. Mr. De Meo was employed by Rose Marie Sardo, Esq. as an associate before opening the offices of De Meo & LaVista, P.C. in 1996. In 2006, Mr. De Meo opened the Law Offices of Alfonse A. De Meo, Esq. P.C. Mr. De Meo is a founding member and partner in Celli Schlossberg De Meo & Giusti, P.C.

 

In addition to private practice, Mr. De Meo has served as the Assistant Public Defender for the Township of Belleville from 1998-2000 and from 2002-2004. In 2006, Mr. De Meo was appointed as the Public Defender in Belleville Municipal Court, and served in that position until June, 2009. Mr. De Meo also served as general counsel to the Belleville Board of Education from 2009 through 2014.

Mr. De Meo is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association.
